During summer the evening admission is available in Savior on the Spilled Blood museum. It presents the history of the memorial church creation, its unique mosaics collection, as well as fascinating narrative about architecture and external decoration of the cathedral. Following traditions of pre-Peter ecclesiastic architecture, Savior on the Spilled Blood has accommodated the most peculiar features of 16th and 17th centuries Moscow churches. Bright enamel domes, levitating tented roof covered with polychromatic tile, abundance of encaustic tile on facades and figured corbel arches with multicolored mosaics give the church its picturesque inimitative look untypical for St Petersburg.
